Beach Week-The Past Few Days

The last couple of days here at the beach have been comfortably uneventful except for a few small things. I leave to go home today, Scrabble trophy-less, a little tanner, and much sandier. We had a great time this week, as per usual, here are a few shots of what we've been up to, hopefully they will give you a little idea of what it's like here.

For lunch a couple of days ago we went to a lovely little local restaurant called The Pig -n- Chicken. It's one of the classiest joints in town:

The Dunn family owns the place:

On the menu (I'll give you one guess):

A few little knicknacks:

But what can you expect from a town who has residents that build houses that look like this:

Anyway, back at the house, an 8 month pregnant Kabrel and her daughter Annabelle both showed off their bellies:

My mom decided that for the 25th Beach Week anniversary, everyone should dress up for dinner. Some of us decided to dress in the style of the first beach week in 1982--this is us in our beautiful gowns "vogue-ing":

My dad put in an apperance as well:

Rono, Aunt Lori's husband actually works in Afghanistan (Richard hooked him up with a job there). His hat is for the Afghanistan golf course and the back says:

The three kids think they're princesses:

We played a little Texas Hold-em tourney--I won, of course :)

We usually play charades, but we have a new game called Guesstures that's kind of a modified version of charades. It looks like nobody is having fun in this photo, but really its just because Rono is reading the instructions and nobody here likes following directions very well:

And of course, the 2006 Scrabble champ, Steven. Too bad for him the shirt was bought in my size, cause I was the frontrunner:

Anyway, that's a wrap for Beach Week 2006, see ya at the same time, same place next year!
