Beach Week Day 2


I was going to post more photos of the people that are here today, but there was some really incredible weather this evening that I shot instead. Myrtle Beach (and the South in general) gets very strong summer thunderstorms which I love. They are actually something I miss living out in California. Tonight we saw the front rolling it.

This is the 25th straight year of Beach Week (I've actually never missed one). In that time, there have been only two complete rainouts, and one was when Beach Week was on Long Beach Island in New Jersey when it hurricaned. There is some really cool video footage from that year! This storm made it drizzle a little bit during dinner, but then it was absolutely clear again about an hour later. Exactly how I like my storms!
