Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeeee


My birthday is definitely my favorite holiday, although the thrill has diminished a little bit now that I am no longer as young as I used to be. Luckily, I am not yet as old as I'm going to be!

The truth is, I am 27 this year. I have always wanted to be 27. I thought it just sounded like the perfect age to be--old enough to do anything I wanted but still young enough to be cool. I also had this idea that I would be married, own a house, be president of a company, take fantastic trips, and have a private jet. Most of those things did not come true,m but I feel very fortunate that some of them have, and I have plenty of time for the rest!

I don't know if it's quite the magic age I thought it would be, but I sure am glad to have the life that I do and have the family and friends that I have. Also, I'll be this age for a whole year, so who knows what great things might happen that I haven't even thought of yet!

In any case, I did manage to snag a few personal photos while shooting Kendall & Joe's engagement yesterday downtown. One of these days i'll actually print a few and get some decorations up in the new house so I can take pictures of it to show ya'll:
