Vegas-A Recap

I'm back! After a week long hiatus from blogging (and pretty much everything else), I am back from my annual photography convention in Vegas and man, what a week it was! I actually haven't gone through all the photos from my little point & shoot camera yet, but I'll tell you right now, I hardly took any photos at all I was so busy living it up!

First things first--my seminar. Susan and I gave a seminar on Destination Weddings, and it went so well. It was my first time doing any kind of real public speaking in front of a big group and to a packed room, no less. I was incredibly nervous but once we started I thought "this is a piece of cake-I could get used to this!". Good thing too, or poor Liana, my Xtreme partner would have been in a pretty bad mood right about now :)

Thanks to the Boutwells for shooting these pics for me:

I seeee you shooting Doug:

whoa, that's a lot of people

Vegas--the social aspect:

Because I haven't gone through my personal photos yet, and because there really aren't many anyway, if you want to see some photos of some of the parties, get togethers, and other encounters in Vegas, you should check out Becker's blog. You can also see the crazy cool restaurant where we ate the last night we were there, TAO at the Venetian, highly recommended. He has an awesome slideshow right here that gives a pretty good wrap up of what happened. No judgement, please!

On the way home, we decided to avoid traffic and take the scenic route. We made a few detours and stops to shoot a few scenes:

Shot from the moving car:

There was this little shack right before the main road, it was so cool looking:

I love shooting locks. This picture is a very small part of a very big project I am working on. I'm sure there will be a blog post about this in the near future:

We also stopped to shoot some photos at the windmills out in the desert. I've always wanted to shoot there, and this was a really neat day to do that. The weather was clear where we were but not even a mile or two down the road it was pouring. Its so cool to be right on the edge of the storm:

Stay tuned, more soon!
