Salton Sea-A Road Trip to Nowhere


After the wedding on Saturday, Becker and I decided to take advantage of being out in the desert to take a little photo sidetrip out to Salton Sea. Salton Sea is a random body of salt water out in the desert, and kind of a wasteland. There isn't any real industry or commerce out there that I saw, and everything looks like it saw its heydey (if there ever was one) in the 50's. Now, it just makes for some interesting landscapes and had a few cool signs to shoot as well.

the 5D and 17-40 is great for weird portraits in the car. It distorted me a little but I like it anyway:
