Catherine & Eric-July 8, 2006

Catherine told me that I was going to love her wedding and she was so right--this wedding was so my style! Catherine & Eric had a beautiful, colorful, amazing wedding this past Saturday at the home of their close friends. This house was made to have parties--the pool and lawn were a stunning backdrop for this wedding.

Although they didn't meet in college (they met on www.christiancafe.com), they were both theater majors and brought some really cool elements of that into the wedding. The programs were playbills, and every table was a different show they had been in. It was so cool!

I have a lot of favorites, so hang tight:

catherine & her sister amy before the wedding:

the bouquet and all the flowers were FANTASTIC! The florist, Sue Merrill , did an outstanding job:

you know how I love a good detail:

how precious is this little flower girl:

eric waiting his turn to walk down the aisle:

catherine was so happy to see him!

it was a very emotional ceremony:

you really can't go wrong with a location like this:

This is something really cool and unique about this wedding. Instead of a unity candle or a sand ceremony to symbolize their joining their lives together, they had an artist create a sculpture for them made out of metal. It is actually two pieces, and one slides on top of the other to form a cross, which catherine & eric will display in their home. I think it is awesome!

when they assembled the cross, they also had a private moment for a prayer:

it was a HOT day! i love a little sun flare:

eric won the flower eating contest:

a very dramatic couple!

I loved their cool cake--it was delicious:

post-cake-cutting kiss:

getaway!

Congratulations Catherine & Eric, and thanks Shyla for all your help!
