Nicole & Jacob-June 10, 2006

Nicole and Jacob's wedding was so bright and gorgeous! Nicole and I have a special connection as we are both English majors, but we also have a mutual fondness for bold color. When I saw Nicole's shoes, I knew that I was going to have a good day:

The shoes weren't the only thing that was just really great about Saturday. There were also the flowers:

And Nicole looking like a million bucks:

Nicole having a moment with her mom before going to see Jacob for the first time:

Love this shot--first look:

I also love shooting kids at weddings--this little guy was willing and ready to pose for me all day--he could be a model!

Waiting for the ceremony to begin:

I went downstairs, and all the girls joined her waiting to kick things off:

It was such a beautiful day. It was a nice change from the fog of the June Gloom that Orange County has been under for the past several weeks:

The ceremony was really lovely and personal, thanks to the friend of the couple who became ordained for the occasion. My cousin Steven had this done for his wedding last year, and I think it is so great. Much more personal than being married by someone you don't know:

A couple ceremony detail shots:

I was so happy to walk into the reception to see a cake like this!

Jacob during the best man toast--love the expression:

Two shots of the new Mr. & Mrs.:

A picture perfect bouquet toss:

And finally, some swing dancing:

congratulations!
