Sara & Ben-February 15, 2006

Yesterday I had the honor of shooting Sara & Ben's wedding in Los Angeles. All frequent blog readers know there's nothing I like better than to shoot something out of the norm, and an Orthodox Jewish wedding definitely fits the bill! This wedding was so beautiful and so well orchestrated that it was just a pleasure to shoot. Everyone there was so kind and wonderful to work with, and I had a great time! You can see a few more of their photos by clicking on this link.

A few of my favorites:

Sara getting ready:

gorgeous bride:

the groom playing around while his brother fixes his tie:

before the ceremony, the groom is getting ready to sign the ketubah, or marriage contract. right now, he is having the terms of the contract explained to him in detail:

the bedekin, veiling of the bride (if you want to know more about Orthodox weddings, click here for a pretty good article)

the bride circling the groom during the ceremony:

the men and women are seperate at the reception, but the bride's father made a special appearance to dance with Sara, the first of his 7 daughters to marry:

the reception was wild! this fire dancer was awesome:
