Shari & Nir-October 2, 2005


Ahh, what a relief to be catching up on my blogging! Shari & Nir's wedding was an unexpected gift--they booked me on Monday for their wedding that upcoming Sunday, which is my quickest contact to booking ever! Shari & Nir had a great Orthodox wedding with some really fantastic moments. What I really liked about this couple is that they were a little bit older, and they were very committed to doing things their own way and on their schedule. I was pretty much along for the ride on this one, but what a fantastic ride!


Shari's dress was one of the coolest i've ever seen--it was different and unique, and just beautiful. It really suited Shari's personality especially later in the night when she spun around and danced!



This photo is one of Nir's parents, who have been married well over 50 years. I thought they were a really beautiful couple who personified what every couple I meet aspires to have in their marriage. I actually got talking to Nir's mother in between the ceremony and reception, and she had such interesting things to say about what it means to be a woman in a predominantly male dominated field. She told me that as a biochemist, she had a lot of experience with that topic.



Something about this photo really interests me. It was taken right before the ceremony was set to start:



....and the ceremony started a little late, so it was dark by the time the couple exchanged their vows. Lucky for me the videographer had a nice strong light allowing me to get these killer shots during the ceremony without having to use any flash:



I was so glad that Shari & Nir let me pull them aside from the party for a few minutes to get some shots of the two of them!
