Tip #4-Get a GPS

I admit it--I'm a bad driver and have basically no sense of direction. Therefore, reading a map while driving is pretty much out of the question for me if I care at all about the safety of myself, my passengers, and the other cars on the road. The best gift I have ever received is a portable GPS system for my car--this thing is totally amazing!

The model I have is a Garmin Streetpilot 330.

It is small and light (good if you are traveling to another state and renting a car--you can bring it with you!), and it is truly amazing. It never yells at me, if I miss the turn it just patiently reroutes me until I get going on the right track again. Seriously, I have no idea how I ever lived without it. This thing has saved my butt so many times getting to weddings, hotels, restaurants, friends houses, and everything else. The coolest thing is that you can search by the name of the place you want to go and it will tell you where every one of what you're looking for is located for miles and miles around! Want food? Simply tell it what kind of food you want and presto!--you're there.

If you don't have a GPS, you should get one immediately. Today. Right this second. It has enhanced the quality of my life and given me back hours and hours that I would formerly have spent driving around clueless and lost!
