Stephanie & Bryan Featured in Bride & Bloom! Fri. July 27, 2007 gossip
I love it when my weddings get featured in magazines, it rocks! I love going to the store, flipping through, and actually recognizing one of my couples. This month, Stephanie and Bryan are featured in a beautiful magazine, Bride & Bloom in a killer six page spread. Their wedding in North Carolina last year was absolutely gorgeous. Stephanie is a girl who loves color and has tons of style, so I knew her wedding would be a shoo-in for a feature. Congrats guys and enjoy!

Hello blog readers! It's been awhile since I gave an update on things going on in my world, so here's what's up!
First of all, I had a lovely birthday, low key and simple, but that's generally how I like my birthdays, considering that after next year, all of my future birthdays will be cancelled. Pretty much laid low most of the day then had an unbelievably decadent dinner at La Fondue in San Juan Capistrano with Becker and the Boutwells.
Then yesterday, Keats and I spent the morning at the Montage spa, which was absolutely wonderful! When I'm a lady of leisure, I plan to make myself a permanant fixture there, it's fantastic! Plus, it was fun to hang out at the Montage and not be working. Marisa joined us for lunch out by the pool, and all in all it was a great day.
I have hired a new office person to share the load here at Jessica Claire! She's new and training right now, but there will be more info on her very soon.
I'm going to be hosting happy hour at BLUDOMAINon their blog this thursday! So if there are any questions you would like to ask me about photography, my life, your life, food on a stick, or anything else, go get onto THE BLUDOMAIN BLOG this thursday at 3:30pm PST and ask questions. 07.07.07-Lauren & Adam's Wedding Sun. July 22, 2007 i do
07.07.07: The most popular wedding date in history. Hundreds of thousands of couples got married that day, but there was only one couple that I knew, Lauren & Adam. Lauren and Adam came to me so long ago that it seemed like it would never be July of 2007! Upon meeting them, I knew that their wedding was going to be a blast to shoot on that most special day.
I was right. Lauren's infectious smile and Adam's single desire to make Lauren happy are the things that stood out to me the most that day. I don't know if I've ever seen a groom so protective and careful with his bride, their love is so evident to everyone around them. It was also really cool to hear them both speak of their parents, all of whom are still married for going on (or maybe even more than) thirty years. What a beautiful example from both sides for this couple! Lauren is such a good wedding planner, it's no wonder she was chosen to be a blogger for the super popular site, Wedding Bee (she's miss hibiscus).
Normally I would post single photos, but Lauren is a slideshow girl through and through. When we first met, she actually specifically asked if I used SHOWIT SLIDESHOWS, which at the time, I didn't. Good thing I do now! That's who I do all my slideshows through, for all the people who have commented/emailed about that.
On another note, happy birthday to me! I'll post photos of my little birthday night and review of the Montage spa tomorrow :)

Oh boy am I ever behind on blogging these amazing, wonderful weddings i've been shooting over the past few weeks! I'm just going to start at the beginning and work my way forward.
Nick and Jennel were married at the end of June. You might remember them as "couple number 2" from my big free wedding photography contest I ran last year, if you don't remember, you can read all about it **HERE**. To read Nick & Jennel's story, **CLICK HERE**.
Anyway, I eventually ended up shooting all three of the finalist weddings for free this year, and Nick and Jennel's wedding was second! This was the kind of wedding that is an absolute dream to be a part of--it was emotional, genuine, beautiful, and fun! Nick and Jennel are such a fantastic couple. Their wedding was a celebration of a huge group of friends and familly, all of whom knew and loved each other for many many years.
