Serena & Jeremy’s engagement
On Sunday afternoon, I finally got the chance to shoot Serena & Jeremy's engagement session after a missed encounter or two! We decided on downtown LA to get some bright, funky colors and a few cool spots that are a bit out of the ordinary. Since Serena is a photographer (
Check out Serena's Site Here), I really wanted them to have something different and original.
We started off right near their church--aren't they a good looking couple?
And aren't they lucky to have spots like this right across from where their wedding will be?
We headed downtown even further to find some good bright graffiti:
Did you know that Jeremy has ninja-like skills when climbing walls? He's an engineer but has missed his calling as a Cirque du Soleil performer:
Cute corner:
Just some fun in the street:
We happened upon this very cool oasis type area in the middle of a very gritty city block. This may be the only grass growing in downtown LA:
My favorite of the day:
But I love this one too:
I can't wait to be shooting Serena in a wedding dress!
So, funny enough, they had gated this grassy area for some reason. It was a little tricky to get in and out, but as I'm of the "ask forgiveness not permission" mindset most of the time, we went in anyway. This is why I love shooting other photographers--they blindly follow me wherever I want!
One more from the grassy knoll:
I love the feel of these next few:
Another favorite--the color, yum!
And last but not least, the many faces of Serena & Jeremy:
