May: Hi Jessica. I am 17 years old and I love your blog!! Weddings have always been something that I adore - such joyous occasions celebrated with beautiful things (flowers, dresses, amazing sceneries ect). I also love photography so put the two together and I can't get enough. I was looking all over the place trying to find a photography blog I liked when I stubbled across your beautiful blog. I have never found one I liked more than yours. You are such a sweet person, and I will of course continue to to follow you. I was just wondering if you knew of any other blogs similar to yours as well. Much love and support coming your way! 3.22.13, 1:12AM
Domenico: Good night ,he is adorable! 1.24.12, 12:47AM

Yuliya M.: I thought of another questions for a future post. How do you establish a relationship with a client from another state before the wedding day, if you are not doing their engagement photos? Any tips would help. Thank you as always! 1.16.12, 9:58PM
[ b ]: maybe you can start making those [ b ] school videos that you promised? i just happened to watch some of those old shoot the sh*t vids and they were hilarious. also... my question... how do you play pocket jacks from middle position while short stacked after the tightest player at the table raises from UTG +1? 1.16.12, 5:55PM
Elle: ADORABLE! Love your blog, your photography - everything! Your baby is terribly cute too, wouldn't mind seeing him in the vlogs once in a while too! My question for you is - when does photo editing ever become too much. As in, I was looking at a photo blog the other day, and the host was talking about editing and removing certain things that "interfered" with the niceness of the picture (it was a signpost, nothing rude or weird). What are your thoughts on interfering I guess with the realness of the picture for aesthetics? Love to hear your thoughts! 1.15.12, 4:39AM
beth: not photography related but where did you get those curtains behind you? they match my new rug EXACTLY (except the rug is blue and white). Thanks!! 1.13.12, 1:59PM
Jessica Cunningham: Hey Jessica, my question is regarding photography.. although the baby is super cute! I started shooting with an 85mm/1.4 lens this year and I love how much light it can bring into my photos and I rarely shoot with a flash. However I find myself struggling with a balance of adjusting my aperture enough to get the light that I love and having enough clarity of the subjects in the shot. Any suggestions... besides using a flash :) 1.13.12, 10:42AM
Lyndzee Ellsworth: Oh my goodness I am going to gobble him up!!! 1.11.12, 7:52PM
Camilla Knudsen: looking forward to this. I am happy you can find the time for this. I myself is juggling two kids under the age of two and a full time wedding photography business. So a bit about your experience so far about splitting your time between the two parts of your life would be great. I am sure there are a lot of young working photography moms like me out there. would also love your take on pricing structure/how you create your packages/content etc. thanks :) 1.11.12, 5:14PM
Melissa: Where did you get those drapes behind you?! They are lovely! 1.11.12, 2:49PM
Scott Westerman: Happy new year Jessica and all your family. This seems like a great idea i for one would love to know your thoughts when getting your exposures good in camera, what little secrets/tricks do you use ? Come on spill the beans. Scott 1.11.12, 1:08PM
Megan Clouse: I would love to know what you editing technique you use to get your images so crystal clear and sharp. (Assuming your first response is "prime" lenses) 1.11.12, 12:07PM
Yuliya M.: I loooooved your short and sweet video, can't wait to see more. My question is, do you give incentives to your clients to book you? Lately my clients have been waiting to send in their contracts too long. And of course any help you can offer with how you use flash during receptions would be wonderful! 1.10.12, 8:21PM
Karen (Mikols) Bonar: I'd love to hear about the transition to mommy-hood and how it changed how you run your biz. Less all-night working? More less-sleep working? Etc. Just ... how have you adjusted? Any tips for those of us soon to be there, too? Thanks! :) 1.10.12, 5:21PM
Jamie: Cute cute cutie!! Now I am just aching to hold a little baby! ;) 1.10.12, 4:38PM
Alex: Jessica! You rock! I dived into a weekly video post (I call the series "Chatty Tuesdays") at the beginning of 2011 and did it off and on because I absolutely hated it! A year on, and I'm finally getting the hang of it and trying hard to have one a week :) Can't wait to see yours - they will definitely be an inspiration to me! Big hugs and LOCKE IS SO CUTE!! 1.10.12, 12:18PM

Julianna Rennard: Hi Jessica and cutest baby ever! My question is: What is your directing style in photographing your couples? I'm struggling with repeating the same poses over and over with every couple. What do you suggest I do to come up with more creative ideas that makes my clients feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera? Thanks Julianna Rennard 1.10.12, 1:31AM

Laura: Oh, wow! This is awesome! You're totally natural in front of the camera -- so is Baby Locke! I would like to hear your answer to Kelly Renee's question! I'm slowly but surely easing into professional from hobby, and I'm dealing with tax ID's, websites, contracts, PRICING (omg who knew this was so hard?!). Does a contract have to be drawn by a lawyer? Thanks for doing this! I'll be a weekly viewer! :) 1.9.12, 6:08PM
JLB: When your photographing a bride and groom walking down the aisle toward you, do you change your focal point to keep the focus on their eyes/face or do you use certain AF mode settings to achieve a sharp photo? 1.9.12, 5:54PM
Lydia: You're adorable Jessica! Can't wait to see more of your videos! 1.9.12, 5:49PM
dawn beirnes: oops, forgot the other info! 1.9.12, 5:37PM
dawn beirnes: oh wow, I have so many! Starting out (not alot to spend on lens, etc.) what is the best way to start shooting for experience, but also as a way to get people that you shoot to tell others about you. I'm wanting to do my 1st photo shoot, but not even sure how to start. 1.9.12, 5:36PM
kristin @ petal and thorn: no photography question, just thought i'd say locke is just the CUTEST baby (aside from my Siena, that is). just that little glimpse of him in action and i'm smitten! 1.9.12, 5:31PM

SherriJ Fuller: oh my goodness, your baby gets cuter every time I see him!! =) I love your work, long time fan. My question is #1) What albums do you offer your clients? and #2) If the lighting is dark for family portraits (let's say after sunset, no lighting, and overlooking an ocean) what would your setup be for lighting? Thanks! 1.9.12, 5:05PM
Megan@CoutureMotion Films: I have an industry question that I have asked countless photographers and videographers and NO ONE seems willing to answer it. So I'm asking you to answer it Jessica! My husband and I are hitting our cap of weddings for the year and we are still getting a flood of inquiries (thank you universe!). So we are now looking to be "selective" with our clients. We want to meet with all the potential clients to make sure we are a perfect fit for them and vice versa. So here is our dilemma: We meet with the potential client and they want to work with us, but we don't feel like we are the right fit for them. How do we address this? Do we say "I don't think we are the right videographer for you?" What if they persist? Our current answer to this dilemma is tell them that someone put down a deposit on the spot for their date and unfortunately we are no longer available -or- someone booked us for the day before in a location that makes us unavailable for that whole weekend. Right or wrong...this is what we are doing. Do you have a better suggestion of how to handle being selective with clients? I would so appreciate ANY advice you have on this subject. PS....Locke is SO cute! 1.9.12, 5:02PM

Mike Ross: Hey Jessica! First off congrats on the baby and I am sure we are all waiting to see cool portraits of the baby in the future! Well my question is, I have done a couple weddings in the past year but I am interested in shooting engagements this year and in the future. What advice you have for someone like me who is inexperience in this field and what kind of lens should I use? Thanks! Mike Ross 1.9.12, 4:49PM
