Since I'm hanging in the OKC today, I thought I might take a minute to update you about the stellar, super fabulous IMAGE X seminar that's going down in New Orleans October 6-8! As you might know, I'm one of the many photographers participating in the workshop, and I wanted to give you a heads up about that.

The way the thing is laid out is really cool--you choose TWO photographers you want to learn from and spend a whole day with each of them. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I am already sold out for my two days, but there are several amazing people that you might not know as well that would be 100% worth spending a day with.

1. Gene Higa: Gene is an insanely talented photographer (just like myself, he is named one of the Top 10 in the World this year) who specializes in killer destination weddings. He's shot literally all over the planet, some of the most insane jobs I've ever seen. A big part of booking those kinds of jobs comes from how you position yourself in the marketplace and present yourself to prospective clients, which is some of what you'll learn from Gene.

2. Victor Sizemore: Vic is my fellow Ladera Ranch neighbor and such a superstar! He's the one person that EVERYONE from vendors to brides absolutely adores and is one of the most adept lightroom editors I've ever seen. You'd learn plenty just by having lunch with Vic, so I know that anyone fortunate enough to spend an entire day with him would be greatly enlightened by the experience.

3. Laura Novak: Laura is one of my best friends and a fantastic business mind to boot. She also runs one of the most successful wedding and portrait businesses on the East Coast, and the information she gives me even over a five minute phone call is some of the most valuable I've ever received. Sometimes I call her pretending to just check and see how she is, hoping she'll throw me a tip here and there. She's found a way to rise to the top of an UBER competitive market and remain one of the nicest, most selfless people I know. Not a bad skill to spend a day learning!

The tuition of $1699 is cheap compared to what you get at many seminars. It includes your hotel for three nights, a full day with two people of your choice, and a killer dinner the last night.

Come on down, ya'll!! No matter which two you choose, you'll get to hang with all of us at some point, and I can't wait to meet you!
