Yesterday, I went down to Laguna Beach to shoot engagement photos for Andrea and Scott. I'm SUPER excited for their wedding in Maui next month at one of my favorite locations in the world, The Four Seasons in Wailea. The coordinator there, Denise Black, is unbelievable, and I can't wait to see what the couple and Denise have cooked up for their wedding.

I'm jumping ahead though--back to the engagement photos. Every now and then, when a couple and I have something chosen and planned for the session, I'll get a little distracted on the way to the session and see something else along the way that I think would make for really good photos. Sometimes the couples aren't into playing along and would rather stick to the plan, but Andrea and Scott were totally willing to play along with me and take a little hike! That didn't stop us from shooting around the town of Laguna a bit first:

Look at this gorgeous couple! I'm so lucky to have the job that I have:

They are just so cute together, and I love that Andrea wore a bright fun color:

These guys are so happy together:

Practicing their first dance moves--they have a 38 piece band playing at their wedding, so they've got to make that first dance special!

I've seen this wall in photos in the past and finally found it walking around!

Where they were sitting here is actually a pizza restaurant that smelled SO good!

Just crusin' around:

I love the colors here:

So we took a little detour up the canyon to shoot in this hidden little field I had seen on the way in. We chased the light the whole way and made it just in time:

But it was so worth it...

Yeah, I think it was worth it:

Once the light was gone, we headed a little deeper into the field for some moody photos

like this one:

But a Kung Fu fight broke out instead!

Andrea & Scott, I had an amazing time with you, thank you so much for being up for doing whatever I said :) I can't wait to hang with you next month in Maui!!
