Claire & Stephen’s Shady Canyon Engagement
When I got the email from Claire about shooting her wedding, I was disappointed to find that I was already booked for her date. But when she requested that I photograph an engagement session for she and Stephen anyway, I couldn't have been more thrilled--especially once we met!
It's funny--when people email and book on the spot, you never know who you'll be meeting when you show up! Suffice it to say, I was extremely happy to meet Claire & Stephen in person when I showed up in Shady Canyon, even at 38 weeks pregnant!
Rarely have I met a couple who is SO easygoing with each other. It's an absolute blast to shoot people who are having an absolute blast:
Seriously, they couldn't stop laughing and playing around--literally all I had to do was sit back and capture the fun:

This series makes me want to dance in my beautiful empty living room...if I had one:

You might notice that Claire is wearing a new outfit in pretty much every photo (come to think of it, so is Stephen). Let's just say there was an Anthropologie store sitting empty that day :)

The end of a session is my favorite time. People are the most relaxed and the shots are always the most natural:
