On Sunday, my good friend Summer of uberfab wedding style blog
Grey Likes Weddings taught her first DIY (do it yourself) flower arranging workshop, and I couldn't have been more excited to go and see how she does her thing! Summer comes from a very creative family. She's got three sisters and a mom who frequently storm weddings, showers, and parties, and unleash loads of creativity and awesomeness all over them, making everything they touch look amazing. What a dream team! Plus, they're all drop-dead gorgeous and as nice as you could imagine. Life's just not fair sometimes :)
Anyway,
Jasmine and I had a nice lunch before heading over, and put our newfound skills to work!
I took most of these photos with permission from Jasmine's blog :)
Summer and the family had the place decorated so cute:
Using unusual elements is one of the key ideas of the day--here's me holding and arranging some Kale
Jasmine thinks this is an overview of Summer teaching the class, but it's really a photo of me looking confused:
Jasmine and I worked together on our arrangement. It started off good, took a sharp left to hideous, and was finally rescued by Cheryl, Summer's mom, and Summer. At least Jasmine looked cute arranging:
Summer has already scheduled her next workshop! You should definitely go if you like flowers, cookies, weddings, fun things to do with friends, or champagne :)
